Suspended over the Gulf of Salerno, Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa was originally a 17th Century monastery and has been restored by its American owner into an exclusive boutique hotel  This 20 bedroom hotels rooms and suites, each named for an herb that the nuns would have used in making their medicines from the Monastero Santa Rosa garden. Vaulted ceilings and the primary structure of the nuns’ rooms and refectory have been preserved and linked together with ensuites to create sumptuous bedrooms, each with a spellbinding sea view stretching from the Conca dei Marini’s fishing harbor below to Amalfi beyond.

Honouring its spiritual heritage it has created a spa partnership with Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella – one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. The spa is housed in the vaults of the former monastery building and includes some The hotel also comes complete with its own chapel, ancient herb garden and all rooms have sea view.
