LuisaViaRoma, a historic Florentine store specializing in luxury fashion, today opens its first flagship store in New York City in the heart of Manhattan, at 1 Bond Street, between Broadway and Lafayette Street. Designed in the late 19th century in the Second Empire style, the building features an elegantly adorned façade. The two-level design —ground floor and basement— of the new LUISAVIAROMA NYC store intertwines memory with modernity, designed by Claudio Nardi Architects.
The end result thrives on many juxtapositions: dark tones and delicate shades, materiality and color, architectural abstraction and artisanal detail, dazzling sunlight and sinuous shadows. Like an art gallery, the space unfolds in a progressive reveal along its 1,000 square meters.
LuisaViaRoma New York’s new store aims to be a go-to destination for fashion lovers and will feature ready-to-wear collections for women and men, with a focus on brands that cater to iconic New York women, including, for example, opinion leaders in culture, business, entertainment and philanthropy.
LuisaViaRoma New York will feature collections by Chloé, Maison Margiela, Jil Sander and Lanvin, as well as those of celebrated New York designers such as Gabriela Hearst, Proenza Schouler and Helmut Lang.
